I was born and raised in Portland, Maine. I wasn't planning on living in Maine for very long but after substantial traveling, I quickly realized that Portland had so much more to offer than I was giving it credit for.
When I am not eating my way through Portland I like to spend my time playing disc golf, going phishing and discovering new live music.
I am a self proclaimed cat lady and have two wonderful cats but am currently dreaming of finding a home outside of Portland's Peninsula where I will have room to grow food and flowers.
The first time I heard about floating I knew it was going to be something that I would fall in love with but I had no idea how much it would eventually change my life. I found Float Harder in 2016 with little control over the volume of my voice and a lot of restless energy. I am grateful for a quiet space free from the distractions that are always being thrown at us.
The float tanks have given me a space to create a meditation practice that I have not yet been able to find otherwise. I have found that a regular floating practice has allowed me to be more grounded and generally, a better person to be around.
In three years, I have floated 184 times and clocking in 276 hours in the tank.

Each painting emerges from a path of its own. Resolution of the painting is the goal from the first mark and I spend a great deal of time thinking about the work, in and out of the studio. I work to build and balance the painting's architecture using color, lots of white, lines, organic shapes, straight edges and layers. Many paintings take months to resolve. Finished work feels aesthetically balanced and true.
The tools I use: Oil paints, oil sticks, graphite and colored pencils, sharpies, rulers and tape. I use mostly flat brushes, bits of cardboard, credit cards, anything with a clean edge.

The Lucia Light is a relaxation and consciousness exploration tool. Also known at a hypnagogic light, it is used seated or laying down and with eyes closed. Most people prefer to listen to music during their session. By using a wide spectrum of flashing white light at varying speeds, intensities and brightness, the light gently encourages the brain to go into harmonic brainwaves creating beautiful, relaxing states in the alpha and theta frequencies. Lucia N ° 03 is a neurostimulator, which combines 8 LEDs and a halogen light. White light passes through the retina to the pineal gland, and creates a unique visual experience for each person. Even though the light is used with your eyes closed, many people report having a uniquely visual experience, seeing varying colors and patterns during the session. The inner consciousness of the light traveler produces scenes of indescribable beauty. The light is safe to use as your eyes are closed during the experience, however, those with light sensitive epilepsy should not use a hypnagogic light as it does strobe. Some people have experienced a dissolution of the sense of time and a transcendence of the physical body.
- Reduced anxiety, stress, fear and depression
- Sense of wholeness/oneness
- Increased creativity and intuition
- Sense of awe and wonder
